The Lorain & West Virginia Railway is operated and maintained by volunteers!

The fabric that connects us is the desire to preserve this railroad for future generations.

Becoming a member gives you incite into what it takes to make the railroad go.

Opportunities include:

         * Supporting track work

         * Maintaining historical equipment

         * Developing connections to other organizations in the community

         * Developing ways to educate the public about the historical aspects of railroading

* Utilize technology to connect with people and share the railroad experience

Organizations like LSRA, are  fully dependent on volunteers to operate.  If you would like to show your support for what we are trying to do, or would like to participate in any capacity, please consider becoming a member today.  Whether you have talents you'd like to share with us or are willing to learn some new skills, we can use your help!  We have opportunities available for people who are willing to help repair and maintain track, fix and perform upkeep on equipment, sell tickets, be car attendants, help with landscaping, and the list goes on and on.  Active members, who have logged over 60 hours of volunteer time can become eligible to work on train crews.
